"Ruins stand for "Ruins of the Whole", is about the mere perception of the unraveling cosmos falling back into itself, where different elements collide and get transformed. Ruins stands for the multitude of sounds and noises that together create an analogical storm that breaks the space, enveloping it in an heavy aura open to new and unpredictable developments.
Andrea Agosta's music research, coming right after "The River", composed before the Covid era, draws a silver line inside the dark uncertainty of the contemporary reality.
Ruins is the point where to starts over: white opposing black, like the cover picture, the house is immersed in a dusty dimension, and shines in a monochromatic light, core of a minimalistic set.
The latest work of Andrea Acosta deals with electronic atmospheres, taken from Ambient music, but also IDM, represented in classic 90's sound, where guitars are just whispered, phases are repeated in a continuous loop, but ungraspable, while the synths play together in a subtle game of balance, among complex interlacements and distortions.
The sound is embellished by a more structured percussion presence, that changes among the various range of unstructured beats.
